Ringless voicemail
Deliver pre-recorded or AI-generated messages to voicemail without an audible ring.
Last updated 2026-08-04
Ringless voicemail places your recording in a prospect's voicemail box without their phone audibly ringing.
Prepare a recording
Open Drops and create audio using any of these methods:
- Recordings — upload MP3, record from your mic, or select from your library
- AI Generate — write a script, choose a voice, preview, and save (generating audio costs 1 credit; text previews are free)
Your business profile in Settings personalizes AI script suggestions.
Send to one contact
| Method | Use case |
|---|---|
| Quick Drop | One CRM contact from a group (stepped wizard) |
| Test Drop | Any phone number you enter — useful for audio checks |
Run at scale
Campaigns target a contact group or selected contacts. After you start a campaign, ripdr processes drops in the background — no browser tab required. Progress, retries, and calling windows are handled automatically.
Delivery and credits
Each drop attempt uses 1 credit when dispatched.
Why some drops don't deliver
Ringless voicemail does not reach every number on every attempt. That is normal across every ringless platform — not a sign that ripdr is down.
Common reasons a drop does not deposit:
- Carrier or voicemail filtering — mobile carriers and voicemail systems can throttle or block high-volume outreach; rules change without notice.
- Invalid or stale numbers — disconnected lines, wrong numbers, or numbers that no longer accept voicemail.
- Call screening — phone or carrier screening can block the deposit before voicemail (shown as Screened in Contacts).
- Line type — mobile, landline, and VoIP behave differently; some lines are harder to reach than others.
- Full or unavailable voicemail boxes — the network may accept the attempt but the recipient never sees a new message.
Unlike email, there is no universal bounce report. You will usually see variability in your Analytics delivery rate rather than a specific error for every miss.
Billing: ripdr uses 1 credit per drop attempt when dispatched. Campaigns retry with alternate outbound numbers when possible.
Best practices
- Clean your list before the first campaign — list quality guide
- Rotate across multiple outbound lines for higher daily volume
- Review Analytics for delivery rates and callback performance by recording
